Jinfa Cai 

Jinfa Cai is a Professor of Mathematics and Education at the University of Delaware, and a Fellow of American Educational Research Association. He serves as the Editor for the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education.  His research is well-funded, with nearly $7 million from various funding agencies, such as the USA National Science Foundation, Department of Education, and Spencer Foundation.  He has received a number of honors, including the National Academy of Education Spenser Fellowship, the University of Delaware’s College of Arts and Sciences’ Outstanding Scholarship Award, which is historical for a mathematics education researcher to receive such a prestigious award, competing with mathematicians, physicists, and biologists.  In 2018, he received the Webber Award, honoring his significant contribution to the State of Delaware’s mathematics education.  He has served as Program Director at the National Science Foundation. He is the Editor of the 2017 Compendium for Research in Mathematics Education (by NCTM), as well as the Research in Mathematics Education Monograph series (by Springer).
