Abraham Arcavi holds the Lester B. Pearson Professorial Chair at the Department of Science Teaching, the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. His work in mathematics education includes curriculum development, teacher professional development and research (especially in the teaching and learning of algebra). He has worked also in the integration of history of mathematics in mathematics education and teaching mathematics in the lower tracks.
